These vibrant tonewoods are treated with a hand-applied antique-style spirit varnish and include hand-carved ebony pegs, tailpiece and chinrest. This violin is perfect for the advancing students.

    Frederich Wyss model VL703 violins are the pinnacle of modern European luthiery tradition. Tonally adjusted and hand-varnished with an oil varnish by master luthiers in the Eastman Strings workshop, these instruments are nothing less than true professional models, worthy of the conservatory, or the concert stage. Their rich, mature sonority penetrates to the furthest reaches of the concert hall. The Frederich Wyss is available in 4/4 size in both Stradivari and Guarnari patterns.

    The Ivan Dunov and Ivan Dunov Superior models are crafted in Romania from select Carpathian tonewoods. They feature highly detailed craftsmanship, a solid spruce top, maple back, ribs, neck, and scroll and Ebony fingerboard and fittings. They are varnished by hand in the Eastman Strings workshop with an antique-style spirit varnish. The Ivan Dunov Superior is set apart by more highly select tonewoods and increased craftsmanship details.

    Wilhelm Klier model VL702 violins are crafted with German tonewoods in a 19th century traditional workshop tradition. The aged tonewoods used in this model give the violin a warmer sound, and they are visually enhanced with varnished with a deep coloration to give a classic, old-fashioned look. The sound is described as rounder than that of a new instrument, almost as if it has already been broken in. These instruments are excellent for advanced violinists.
